Pumper/Tanker

     This pumper-tanker is built on an International Work Star 7400 cab and chassis powered by a Navistar N9 330HP diesel engine and an Allison automatic transmission.  The pump is a Hale DSD 1500GPM midship pump suppling water to (2) speedlay discharges and (5) 2 1/2” discharges.  The water tank is a 3000-gallon polypropylene tank built by Integra Plastic Products and equipped with (3) Newton manual dump valves and chutes painted to match the body.  There are also (2) rear 2 1/2” direct tank fills installed at the rear of the tank.  The body is an all-aluminum extruded body with high side compartments at driver’s side and low-side compartments at the passenger side.  The compartment doors are all Gortite aluminum roll up doors.  There are SCBA bottle storage compartments in the rear wheel wells, a rear slide-in hard suction hose compartment at the driver side and a rear slide-in ladder storage compartment at the passenger side.  There is also a manual folding tank bin located at the passenger side of the body.  The warning light package is an all Whelen Super LED package with halogen body scene lights.  The apparatus is also equipped with a Honda EM5000 gasoline generator which powers four (4) Fire Research FOCUS 500-watt telescoping scene lights.
